Scissor Sisters: Back to the Future
Not since their ‘Comfortably Numb’ have we been so excited about the Scissor Sisters. While their follow up material, turned them into pop-superstars, there was always something genuinely decadent and genuinely NY-disco, about their cover of the Pink Floyd track, which no poseurs could fake. Fuck, Comfortably Numb, was one of the sign-posts, to the disco revival, that was still nearly half a decade away.
Anyway, just like their excursion into disco in the early noughties, nearly 10 years on, this remix of School of Seven Bells’ new single, ‘Lafaye’ has put them back on the dance floor, this time, deep into which is perhaps where they have most been missed.
